Lettings Market To Stay Strong For Agents

The rental property market continues to look solid for the foreseeable future as tenant demand creates a strong position for landlords, often forcing tenants to shop around more for their accommodation needs.

Mark Garner of LettingZone has advised tenants to extend the area they are looking to live in to try and find better deals since there is no indication of the lettings market cooling down in 2010.

He commented, "Tenants need to totally research the rental market in their ideal area to see exactly what they get for their money, plus I would suggest they look just around the edges of that area as they may find some much better deals there."

This strong performance of the lettings market and the attractiveness to existing and new investors is equally positive for letting agents who provide services to these landlords. Many new agents have set up to meet this strong demand for tenant find and property management services, seeing both the short-term gains from a strong market combined with positive long-term trends.
