Use Letting Agents: Landlords Told

Landlords have been advised that the safest way to look after their property portfolio is to employ a letting agent to manage their valuable investment.

Amanda Wiewiorka of Wardhaugh Property Management, Forfar explained that the current state of the housing market is leading to an increase in reluctant, often first-time landlords.

These are people who are unable to sell their homes, so move into rented accommodation and rent their own houses out to tenants.

Ms Wiewiorka explained, "They can rent their own home for say £600 a month which will cover their £400 a month mortgage and give them a bit towards the rent they have to pay to their own landlord."
